As the Editor-in-Chief of Third Coast Press, I often speak of how honored I am to work with such a fantastic, dedicated group of volunteers. We are proud of the work we have already done, and are strongly committed to taking it to the next level. We work hard to make Third Coast Press a top-notch progressive publication. We invite talented writers, editors, designers, photographers, illustrators, sales people and cartoonists to take us further. We can not offer pay at this point (except a commission for ad sales people), and we may never be able to offer our contributors the type of money they deserve. But we offer a chance to get your work seen by thousands, and help to create an alternative to the massive media corporations which have a stranglehold on the information available to people. For those of you who are disillusioned with the state of journalism, we offer the chance to help create another kind of media. Soon, we will have more information on the people who have given up their free time to give Third Coast Press the best writing, editing, design, photography, illustration, and cartoons possible. When we do, I encourage anybody to learn more about them and consider contacting them for freelance work. I’ve never known a more extraordinary group of people.
